Creating a Safer Seattle Public Safety Community Forum – Thursday, August 14, 6:00 p.m.  

​On behalf of the Seattle Mayor's Office and the City of Seattle, we are excited to invite you to attend the Creating a Safer Seattle Public Safety Community Forum on Thursday, August 14 at the Delridge Community Center, from 6 - 7:30 PM. 
 
This forum is focused on neighborhoods in District 1, and as a leader and valued partner to our administration we would like to personally invite you to attend. There will be forums in additional neighborhoods throughout the summer. 
 
The forums will feature our new Police Chief Shon Barnes sharing his vision for Seattle-Centric policing, provide updates on the City’s progress on our One Seattle Restoration Framework, and engage community in discussions about public safety and public health solutions for our city. They will include representatives from the Seattle Police Department, Fire Department, CARE Department, Parks, Seattle Public Utilities, Human Service Department, and Department of Transportation to discuss progress and hear your feedback.

    June 27, 2025 at Noon, the Community Manager (TJ) at Arrowhead Garden met with residents and introduced herself and her staff.

    TJ gave information about how she will keep residents informed about what is happening in the community. She will meet with residents every other month in a group forum.  She mentioned that activity cards can be put in the rent dropbox. After the video stopped, she went to each table for conversations.

Age Friendly Seattle is joining the Washington Civil and Disability Advocate and other partners to hold a Seattle City Council Candidate Forum focused on the needs and priorities of people with disabilities. This educational event will feature candidates running in District 2, 8, and 9 races.
Arrowhead Gardens is in District 1.  Districts 8 & 9 are at large for the entire city. HERE you will find the candidates running for Seattle City Council who have qualified for Democracy Vouchers.

Please use this Google Form to submit any questions you would like to ask the candidates.

SPD Personal Safety Training 7-17-2023: Audio and Slides Online
    Sarah Lawson and Sgt Matthew from Seattle Police Department North Precinct came to Arrowhead Gardens on Monday July 17th at 1:30pm in B Community Room to provide training on personal safety for seniors.  About 12 residents attended.  Frances Berge arranged for training session.  Diane Radischat spoke briefly at the beginning and end of the session.
   An audio recording and presentation slides are available on Dropbox.
   Note 1: You can download the 2 files or view slides and listen to the audio online.
   Note 2: Audio sections were deleted where voices were inaudible.
