Mark your calendar for every Wednesday 7PM between January 10th and February 21st
If you have to miss a session, no worries. Classes are recorded and a link to the YouTube
video is sent out a day or so after class to those who registered online.
After February, The Disaster Planning Group will schedule presentations again using the YouTube videos. We will add additional information.

Misc information:
1. Charge small electronics (phones) using a vehicle battery... Amazon /
2. How you can charge your phone 20-30 times off a vehicle battery and still have enough "juice" to start your vehicle... https://www.techwalla.com/articles/for-how-long-can-a-car-battery-charge-a-cell-phone
3. Per a classmate... some vehicles can charge a phone or other device from the cigarette lighter with the ignition off. For example, a Sprinter van has this feature.
4. A preparedness book suggested by a classmate... Get Ready! How to Prepare for and Stay Safe after a Pacific Northwest Earthquake
5. Bleach can be used to sanitize water for drinking. Bleach will not remove contaminants such as fuel, lead, or pesticides. If you can, print and tape to your hot water tank. Or keep with other disaster preparedness materials.

After an earthquake...
1. Check on people/pets around you
2. Manage utilities
- Natural Gas – Shut it off If you smell/hear a gas leak
- Electricity – Shut it off if you see damaged wires or smell insulation burning
- Water – Always turn it off after an earthquake until you know that it is safe to use!
